There are a variety of coloring pages available for the children to keep them engaged in their own world and constructively build their creative abilities. It is the most successful trick to keep your kids busy in coloring pages of their favorite characters and fairies. Not only it enhances the emotional satisfaction in your child but also tends to build up motor skills in them like eye-hand concentration etc. it also allows you some amount of peaceful relaxation while your noisy kids get themselves indulged in these pages.
I normally print out free coloring pages for my nephew – no problem right? Then I was asked to baby sit a few other little ones one evening. I passed out a coloring page to each of them along with a huge bucket of crayons. I was then off to watch an episode of Monk.
You can’t paint? Well, you can always color! Many people (including me) have the same problem – they’re full of creative energy but can’t scribble a doodle. And it does make me feel bad sometimes, when I feel the need to let it all out but don’t really know how. Blank pages make me feel even worse.
Remember those days of youth when you didn’t have to pay the bills, to change the children’s diapers, to keep an eye on gas prices and all those adult distractions? It’s exactly the stage your little kids are going through right now. This is the time that we should let children be children. And that means having them live in their world of toys, games and coloring books.
And maybe the best thing about coloring pages is that they are free. There are many sites online that give you a wide range of pages for you to chose from and select. Then you simply print them out (most homes have a printer these days) and as long as you have something to color in with, you’re good to begin. Few activities for kids are as stress free, thats for certain.
Remember when you were a child, lying on your tummy on the floor, coloring book open, crayon in hand with the other crayons spilling out of the box? Can you remember the sense of peace and enjoyment you felt while you were coloring? Why not consider revisiting this favorite childhood pastime to help during those times when you find yourself feeling on edge.
