2) Coloring in a Doodle Book. You can do this very effectively by getting an artists sketch pad. This is a pad of blank sheets of paper used by artists to plan their paintings or creative work on, much like a writers rough draft. Once you have your pad, take a pencil and start to doodle. Make lines, circles, shapes, what ever at the time makes you feel good. Then color in the spaces within the doodles. Even if you think you are not a very creative person you will feel productive and relaxed after a few doodle your noodle calming sessions.
Probably the easiest way to get a hold of pages for your kids to color is to print them out from websites online. There are plenty of sites that offer free downloadable coloring pages. Just search for ”Christian coloring pages” or ”Biblical coloring pages” in your favorite search engine, and you’ll find a bunch of results.
Along with the coloring books you’ll need to add a package of crayons. There are a variety of crayon packs to choose from, jumbo crayons, metallic, neon, minis, and the basic four pack of red, blue, orange and green. You can also include gel pens, chalks and markers for the kids to use in their coloring books.
