In the argument of what is excessive I understand where both parties are coming from. As a residential designer my job is to collect details about each client’s dreams and desires in order to create their ideal home. To most people the luxuries of the rich are simply excessive, but to the elite few, the cash they spend on their home is only a drop in the bucket compared to what they could spend (and for that matter this manner of spending can be viewed as modesty). Having been involved in residential design in Kelowna for more than a decade I see it time and again. People come here to build lakefront summer homes. Some might say "imagine the mortgage payment on that $5M cottage", but I say "what mortgage?" The elite don’t over-extend themselves on their homes as many assume.
Vinyl can easily be considered the most popular material chosen by homeowners, and for a number of reasons. Like steel, vinyl is great for saving energy because they are insulated. Not only are they durable, but there are resistant to scratches and dents! Vinyl also does not rust and will have the least amount of maintenance involved. There are full lists of designer door options along with window styles that can be engraved and etched. Vinyl panels also should have a lifetime warrantee from the manufacturer.
They are extremely sturdy and withstand adverse weather conditions. A makeshift garage made of some other materials might get worn out in different weather conditions and increase your costs for regular changes.
There are several places outside the downtown area where you can find great luxury Portland apartments, and luxurious housing rentals. They may also have community associations, health centers, swimming pools and clubhouses, and less congestion than the downtown area. Those that come to the rental apartment living range in their characteristics from humble to bourgeois, to international. They are both tourists, long-time and permanent residents.
They are sturdy but that doesn’t mean they look tacky. In fact they can be smartly designed to add to the glory of your home.
