Melted wax is dangerous for anyone, especially for children. Please be careful when trying any of the following crayon wax-melting art projects. Adult supervision is definitely a must for melted wax artists. Here’s how to do it:

Today, there are approximately 120 colors of crayons currently available. Some have glow in the dark properties, some are scratch and sniff, some change colors when used on paper, others have glitter combined with the crayola crayons wax in such a way as to allow drawing made with glitter crayons to glisten in the sunlight. Practice blending shades of chalk together to achieve the desired result. Press very lightly for a softer look, and a little bit harder for a strong, sharper color. You can mix chalk colors directly on the cards stock or image, or you can mix the colors on the applicator before applying to your product, whichever you prefer.

Using Conté crayons, an artist can achieve subtle variations of shading in clear, distinct drawings. Conte crayon is quite permanent and artwork produced with a Conte crayon is often treated with a sprayed fixative for added longevity.
