The playground is one of the fun places where kids can enjoy playing and also have fresh air compared to playing indoors. Not only it is fun but can largely contribute to good health. This is the reason why most parents would rather want their kids play at the playground rather than at home where there are potential damages to the appliances where kids may be left unattended. However, it is undeniable that though this may be true, the playground also posed hazards to the kids where accidents and injuries are likely to happen by use of playground equipment and also, the manner how the kids play carelessly. Nonetheless, there are playground safety tips for toddlers and school age kids that can guide parents and guardians how to ensure the safety of the kids while they enjoy their leisure.
How much space do you have in your backyard? If you have a large yard, there is no concern. Many new homes, however, have limited backyard space. You should not place kids playground equipment up close to any structure they could fall and injure themselves on. Fences, trees and the home itself should be six to nine feet from the playset for proper safety precautions. While a playground should not be set too close to a fence, it is often desirable to make sure you have a fenced in yard if you choose to install a play area. If you live near a busy street, it becomes even more important in preventing excited children from running into the street.
It is essential to take some time to consider what you wish to provide through a playground and plan out the area before you start to buy equipment. It is also recommended to purchase from a leading UK playground equipment supplier to ensure the quality of apparatus is high and tested against British safety standards. Companies will usually assist you in the planning of your area covering everything from the correct playground surfaces to use which will combine well together through to comprehensive playground design
Children love to play outdoors and have fun with their friends. I believe they should be encouraged to go out instead of just concentrating on kids’ toys inside the house so they can take in fresh air and have some exercise. We, however, must make sure that the playgrounds we set up in our own backyards are safe for use.
Second, always make allowance for more space. Therefore, the floor should extend to over six feet beyond the play area. If the fort is above 4ft, it would be a good idea to not leave the guard rails open. Keep them close together to disallow the kids from getting their head stuck in between them. For kids that are of school age, make sure that the railings are above thirty eight inches (38in) and finally make sure that you have enough space that can grow as your child grows.
Long Durability- Kids are very energetic, so you need a floor that can withstand all the activities and games those little rascals come up with. Kids will be kids, and will constantly throw stuff on the ground. Playground rubber flooring will withstand all the abuse.
