Climbing playground equipment is by far the most popular type of apparatus. Climbing frames remain one of the most popular pieces due to their vast variety of shapes, sizes and challenges. From the traditional jungle gym to the web climbers, rock climbing walls and net traverse, there is something to keep children constantly entertained as well as helping them exercise without knowing it!

Also it is of primary importance to design the surface with rubber and/or grass; you can even get special colored safety matting these days. The flooring should absorb the shocks and strains when a child falls or rolls on the ground, thus making it a safer place for children.

Of course, it is the youngest of children that need the most attention. Not only are they often oblivious to how easily they can be hurt, but they are not coordinated enough to play on the equipment as well as older kids do. The different dynamic between younger and older kids playing in the same place, however, makes them want to try, and this is where injuries often occur.

Now by this I mean if your children are under the age of three you will not want to get a playground set that will sit for three years until they reach the age that they will enjoy the outdoor play set that you spent large amounts of money on. However, if they are older then you will want to take into consideration all the available features that it has that will keep them playing on it for years to come.
