Watercolor pencil crayons are one of the most versatile coloring tools that you can find because there are so many different techniques that you can create with them. If you want a strong colored image, apply the pencil crayons directly to the image just as you would with regular coloring crayons. However, if you want water colored look, you can use a blender pen to create that effect. Simply color along the edge of the image with the pencil, and use the blender pen to ”pull” the color into the desired area.
Unfortunately as adults, we tend to put our crayons aside for more grown up endeavors. As we mature we put away our artistic aspirations and replace them with more worthwhile activities.
In 1795 Conté developed a method that involved mixing powdered local graphite with clay, waxes and water, firing the mixture in a kiln and forcing it into wooden casings. This process allowed the French to produce their own pencils and control the hardness of the leads, which in turn controlled the darkness of the mark made by the pencil. The process was so successful that Conté became synonymous with pencil, and Conté still manufactures high grade writing and drawing tools.
I have to admit to ridiculing her for wanting such childish things; I wanted her to be normal. What I didn’t realize is that her fondness for coloring and crayons is very normal. It just isn’t what most teenage girls spend their time doing.
In a nutshell, Crayola Crayon Town combines 3D play and coloring. The animals, buildings, and figures change as the children color them. The old or broken crayons can be used to make trees and vehicles. For example the My House set uses a crayon as the body of a dog. The front head and two front feet are a plastic module that has an opening for the crayon. The other end of the crayon is inserted into the module for the back feet and tail. Color on Fabric: On a blank sheet of paper, create a design you’d like to have on a T-shirt or other piece of fabric. Color the design heavily, using plenty of crayon. Set your iron to cool and allow it to heat up. Place newspaper between the layers of fabric so the colors don’t bleed through. Then iron the paper until the design shows through. For best results, use 100% synthetic fabrics.
