Therefore spending lots of money on buying very expensive playground equipments is not a guarantee of the child’s safety when he or she is using it. In fact statistics show that over two hundred thousand accidents resulting from injuries and wounds sustained in the playgrounds are treated annually. This rounds up to over five hundred occurring on a daily basis. Injuries that can be sustained from using the playground equipments include joint dislocations, bone fractures, concussions occurring as a result of the head hitting the ground and a host of others.
Also check all moving parts and devices to make sure they still have a smooth action. Tell your children to let you know anytime is broken or seems out of whack, but even then, you will need to do your own periodic check.
Kids love their fun and break periods. In fact, most kids look forward to their playtime and are very happy and excited when the bell for playtime goes off. Most of the time, these kids spend a lot of their time in playground which is where they often get to have fun. These periods are usually spent in the general local and neighborhood playground, school and other playground et.c.
While well out of the budget for many, a pool can still be within reach if you check out some of the affordable above-ground pools. And kids don’t need an Olympic-sized swimming pool to have a little fun splashing around in the heat of summer. This type of addition to your makeshift playground can really make or break any yard.
How? Build a safe playground for the kids to use.
1. Make a theme for your playground – If you find that your child is actually inclined to like a specific cartoon character, then it would be good to build from that and then make your kid’s playground based from the said theme. This way, you can really work around something that he actually likes. Having a specific theme for the kid’s playground also allows him to become easily comfortable with his surroundings. This can also be a fun way for you to extend the playground as a bonding spot for you and your child as you tell stories related to the characters found in the said area.
